How Cobalt Heron Came Together
In 2021, three colleagues from the local technology and retail sector sat in a mamak stall in Chow Kit and talked about the same problem they kept seeing: shop owners spending hours answering WhatsApp messages, repeating the same answers, and still missing customers. The tools available were either too expensive, too foreign, or too complicated for a team of five.
They formed Cobalt Heron with a simple intent — work directly with e-commerce shop owners in Malaysia to make messaging more manageable. Not by automating everything, but by making the routine parts cleaner so the human parts could shine through.
Today, we work from Menara Felda in Platinum Park and serve shops across Selangor, KL, and Penang. Every engagement is still hands-on, still personal, and still written up clearly at the end.
